What made you want to be an interior designer? I grew up rearranging my bedroom as a kid - and eventually talked my parents into letting me touch other areas of our home. I wanted to be one ever since I found out it was actually a career, which likely dawned on me while watching Trading Spaces.
What does your home say about you? Girl likes her STUFF.
What is your favorite kind of design project? I love when we can get our hands on the whole home and can design as many rooms as possible. A dream project would be an older home that needs minimal renovation and A LOT of decorating.
Who are the best clients to work with? Nice people with good style and a reasonable budget. Bonus points if they’re incredibly trusting and don’t ask for too many tweaks to our design vision.
Where is your favorite place to shop? I love to shop in person for art, accessories and decor. Internationally, the flea markets in Paris are unbeatable. Stateside, you can’t beat Brimfield.
What’s the best career advice you’ve gotten? At my first job out of college, a co-worker told me that no one cares about your career as much as you do. That should’ve been a no-brainer but it wasn’t at the time. It made me realize that I needed to be the one to make things happen for myself.
How do you deal with difficult clients? It’s a mix of education and boundaries!

What’s inspiring you in life right now? Cultivating my personal style and having fun with fashion.

Do you collect anything? Yes, art. I have over 300 pieces of artwork in my home.
What are you working on right now? Lots! We’re working on a lot of decorating projects. We have several INCREDIBLE patterned sofas in production at the moment.
Favorite paint color? Santa Monica blue by Benjamin Moore.
An exercise you enjoy? I love a long walk with friends. That, and hot yoga.
Dream country to visit? Spain was on my list for the longest time, but I just checked that off. I’m trying to work up the stamina needed for a long flight to Tokyo or India.
What’s the biggest surprise you’ve had? I hate surprises. I must know about everything before it happens.
Heels or flats/sneakers? Flat combat boots or white sneakers, you’ll rarely catch me in heels.
Vintage or new? It’s all about the MIX!
What is your favorite season? I love it when the warm weather hits at the start of spring.
Style icon? Daisy Edgar Jones has been killing it on the fashion front lately, so I’ll say her.
Something you can’t live without? My Apple calendar.
What color do you wear most often? Hot pink or black - but never together.
What 3 people living or dead would you like to make dinner for? I don’t cook, so I’d cater. In an effort to not overthink things, let’s go with Betty White, Kacey Musgraves and John Mulaney
Are you an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert.

What’s your current TV obsession? Abbott Elementary, based in Philly.
What is your favorite quote? If it costs you your peace, it’s too expensive.
Favorite curse word? I guess I overuse the F word.
Riskiest thing you’ve done in your life? Quit my corporate job to start a business. Then have my husband do the same to join me.
How would you define yourself in three words? Dependable. Driven. Decisive.
Favorite piece of clothing you own? It’s actually a necklace - I picked up an incredibly special Victorian vintage scarab beetle necklace in New York last year. I still haven’t worn it, but can’t wait until I get the chance.
Best thing to happen this year? Our foster puppies got adopted!
Superpower you would want? To talk to animals
Best advice you’d give your teenage self? We’re all just making it up as we go.
Favorite smell? This Venus perfume I got in Paris at Officine Universelle Buly 1803
Favorite concert you’ve been to? I went to see Andrew Bird in Salt Lake City and wound up loving his opener, Josh Ritter.
Best way to take a rest/decompress day? I’m a sucker for a deep-tissue massage.
Favorite place to view art? I love The Royal Academy in London.
Last person you texted? Alex, my everything partner.
What is a travel must-have? I have gotten in the habit of packing an extra bag in my luggage. You never know when you’re going to return with more than you came with!
Dogs or cats? I have both, but dogs.
What’s your spirit animal? Ironically, my cat, Wednesday.
A movie you watched recently? Nutcrackers on Hulu was incredibly cute!
Favorite movie of all time? Never Been Kissed, with Drew Barrymore. Obsessed.

Least favorite color? Brown - but I know it’s very popular right now so maybe I’ll be converted.
What is something you can’t do but you wish you could? Jump rope!

Blow-dry or air-dry? Air dry all the way. I don’t own a blow dryer - could never hold my arms up long enough!
Pilates or yoga? Lots of hot yoga lately. I go to Bulldog in Villanova.
Coffee or tea? Tea, specifically chai.
Favorite clothing brand? Tried and true J.Crew.
Dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Milk.
Favorite snack? Anything with milk chocolate.
What is one thing on your bucket list? I want to see one of our projects on the cover of a national design magazine.

Favorite dessert? Chocolate chip cookies straight out of the oven!
A dessert you don’t like? Pumpkin pie or any fruit dessert.
What is your pet peeve? Software updates that erase my settings (I’m looking at you iOS).

If you weren’t an interior designer, what career would you choose? When I was considering a major in high school, I toyed with being a lawyer. Growing up, my family always told me I was wonderful at arguing (eldest daughter syndrome I suppose). Today, if I closed up shop, I would be a jewelry designer.
If you made a documentary, what would it be about? Shopping flea markets across the globe. I’d love to have a camera crew capture my travel guides IRL.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? The Cotswolds

What are you most excited about at this time in your life? I feel like I’m starting to strike the right balance between my work and personal life. I burnt out on work in the early days of the business. Now, I’m infusing more personal enjoyment into my days - whether that means planning a trip or just getting to yoga in the evening. I’m finding joy outside of my job (though I do love it).
What’s your New Year's resolution? I think I’m going to try to unplug my TV for the entire year, wish me luck!

What was the name of your first childhood pet? I had two bunnies, named Bella and Bunny.
