A Behind The Scenes Look Back At September In Our Studio
Autumn is flying by for us. We've had so many amazing installs, fun celebrations - and we started a couple of new design projects. In case you missed all the excitement, here is our month in review.
WOW it’s been A MONTH! Let’s kick things off with all the client-related updates.
At the beginning of the month, we traveled to Newton for a Trade Day at our client’s home. This meeting involves all of the partners we plan to work with to complete the project - imagine wallpaper installers, electricians, painters and millworkers. We later presented the quotes we gathered at our Design Presentation meeting at the end of the month. This project has a cosmic feel; the basement is going to be painted from wall to ceiling in a Yves Klein blue!

At the beginning of the month, we also started two new client projects. Our team traveled to Washington Square West to collect measurements at an exciting historic row home, with TONS of character! This project is going to display amazing pieces of original art throughout the home. Our favorite room is the electric adult space on the first floor. We are infusing the home with jewel tones by way of lush velvets, rich paint colors and artfully curated wallpaper.
As this project kicked-off, we also traveled to Swarthmore to meet with a lovely client who is looking to revamp her home for her growing family. This project features a challenging third floor that we are reworking into a multi-use space for guests, office needs, movie nights and play time for the young ones. Both projects will be BURSTING with funky colors and fresh prints.
While these new projects were getting started, we had several installs for other ones in the works. From paint, wallpaper, lighting, window treatments and amazing furnishings - we have installed it ALL this month ALL over town - and outside of our town too!
In Maryland, we installed an amazing floral-printed sleeper sofa, rattan pieces, soft rugs, lighting touches and additional seating with contrasting trim. This is a project for one of our earliest and loveliest clients who we hope to work with FOREVER. So far, we’re at 7 years strong with multiple phases within multiple homes.

Just a short walk from our office in Chestnut Hill, we installed the most amazing burl coffee table and console, to compliment a lush green velvet sectional. This project also features a leopard-printed accent chair and a sweet banquette moment. Our clients have a growing family and desperately needed their home to reflect their taste, with enough comfortable seating for lounge time and meal time. With just some decorating updates (well…we added a fireplace too), their first floor feels bright, open, fresh - and like an entirely new home. Take a behind-the-scenes look at this install by watching our reel on our Instagram!
On the other side of the suburbs, we installed window treatments at our Wildflower project in Wayne. This project is wrapping up just in time for holiday hosting and we are so happy with the outcome. It leans a little more traditional and less quirky and whimsical, but we left our footprint by installing amazing wallpaper and printed upholstery.

In the city, our Graduate Hospital project has us eagerly awaiting the furniture install (keep your eyes on Instagram). This new build was previously a blank slate, but since paint, wallpaper and lighting have been installed, it’s already looking whimsical and fabulous! Later this month our extraordinary furnishings will be installed. Think gorgeous marbles, patterned rugs, faux horn, lush velvets, brass and tons of art!

Now, we can’t let our clients have ALL the fun! In case you missed it, we have RE-BRANDED and revealed our studio space. We welcome you to digitally tour our studio, and explore our new website! If you find yourself in the Chestnut Hill area, take a peek at our adorable kiosk and ivy-wrapped studio space.
Somehow we also managed to get up to the Design Center in NYC this month for What’s New What’s Next! We visited a few of our favorite showrooms, explored new vendors and enjoyed several panels.

Now a moment for all the celebrations! Our work was featured several times throughout the month in publications such as Living etc, House Beautiful, Design NJ, Coastal Style and Apartment Therapy. My holly hock powder room has gotten tons of love lately - and even made it into House Beautiful’s print shopping issue. If you haven’t seen it yet, our adorable book store in St. Michaels received the sweetest feature from Coastal Style. For our Design NJ lovers, make sure to pick up the print issue this October to explore our Gentleman’s Farmhouse feature.

Last but not least, at the end of the month, I celebrated my birthday in the office with a charm party. Kat is a new friend who owns Stone & Cooper and she made my birthday so special. Kat hand-selected charms for the team based on our hobbies and interests, and boy did she knock it out of the park! Check out her store, if you need a treat for yourself or a loved one this holiday season.
